Pumpkin Pie

Today is Littlebit's harvest party at school. She is going to dress up as a horse, so I'll post pictures of that later. First I have to tell you about the pie I made for the class.

Isn't it cute? Okay, it's a little browned on the top, but I haven't used Trader Joe's pie filling and recipe before.

At 6 this morning, I started thinking about my pie and thought maybe I forgot to add something. I went out to the recycle bin to grab the can and check the recipe. Yep, sure enough. I forgot the SUGAR! Hoping that it didn't matter too much (yeah, right like 3/4 cup of brown sugar wouldn't matter) I moved a leave and took a taste. EWWWW! GROSS!

Big Daddy volunteered to leave work and bring me a new can of pumpkin, but I didn't know if I could get it done and to school on time. I called Albertson's and they have pumpkin pie in their bakery. So now we will be making a stop on the way to school and my beautiful pie will go in the organics container. Boo hoo!
