Thankful

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! My mom was able to come down and spend the weekend with us. What a treat because we haven't seen her in months! The kids had a great time playing games with Nana and drawing pictures.

Lovey and Big Daddy were sick over the weekend, but still were troopers. They are finally feeling better now with Big Daddy finally going back to work on Wednesday. They were able to watch lots of football, including the Apple Cup.

I was thrilled to spend time shopping with my mom. Our tradition of going to the Christmas Forest and then hitting all of the local shops was foiled because the Christmas Forest was moved to a different weekend. We did go to most of my favorite shops though. We survived the rain, bought a few presents and enjoyed our time together.

My mom was kind enough to accompany me on the search for my new couch. It is just so frustrating that I can't find what I am looking for and at a reasonable cost. My mom and I sat on a lot of couches and looked at a lot of fabric and now I have it narrowed down to two possibilities.

Now it is time to prepare for the next holiday, my favorite - Christmas!!!!

The pie and cranberries are finished and soon the turkey will be going in the oven. My mom and I will be busy making stuffing, potatoes, green beans and carrots. My family is feeling a bit under the weather, but hopefully they start feeling better soon!

Everyone gathers at our house for the holidays and Thanksgiving is no exception. If I had my way, I would do without the turkey, but I have been outvoted. Oh well. My favorite part is the stuffing.
