Soccer, dance, and baseball... oh my!

This weekend was absolutely crazy. We had to be at a soccer game by 9am and then a dance recital at 10:40. Lovey had to be at the baseball field by 12 for a double header. It was a tight schedule with little wiggle room.

The soccer game was fabulous! Littlebit scored 3 goals. She was running up and down that field with a smile on her face. After the game, we rushed to the dance performance at the spring fun fair. Even though I explained to the kids that we couldn't do any of the fair things, they still were sad that they couldn't be in the parade or do the zipline. I was hoping to bring them back on Sunday, but rain changed our plans. Littlebit did a fabulous job dancing. No stage fright and she knew the dances better than she lets on in class or at home.

Then it was a rush to the baseball field. Big Daddy took Lovey with Grandpa, while the rest of us went to pick up lunch. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful weekend. The first team beat us, but it was a close game. We won the second game which meant we would be back at the fields on Sunday.

We got to the fields early on Sunday and were welcomed with rain. Those kids played their hearts out in the rain and we were winning until the last inning. They had two outs and the other team scored 7 runs to beat us 16-15. It was a heartbreaking end to the season.

Lovey's season is not over though. He was selected to play on the all-star team. That means we more baseball until July. Wow! Let's hope the sunshine comes back.

Well, hello there!

Wow! It has been so long since I have written. We have been so busy lately. Lovey is busy playing baseball which seems to be be 3 days a week and Littlebit has been busy with soccer and dance. Big Daddy and I have been busy at work! Wow! I can't wait for summer.

I love how much Lovey has improved in baseball. His passion for the sport is amazing. He may not be the most athletic player, but many parents have commented to me on his awareness of the game. I love watching him play. Tuesday night he made an unassisted double play. Woohoo!

Littlebit is enjoying soccer. She was timid at first, even though this is her third season. She really ran hard and attacked that ball yesterday.

We have been fortunate to have Big Daddy's grandparents here from New Mexico. They have been here since April 27th and will be here another week. The kids have loved it. We were really thankful last week because Big Daddy was out of town, Littlebit was sick and I couldn't find a sub. They stayed at home with her.

The sun is beautiful today and I hope to work in my garden. Happy Mother's Day!
