My little ballerina

I made Littlebit a tutu when she was one. She hated it. She does not like the feel of tulle. This was an issue when I made her princess costume. I thought that with the satiny liner, she would be fine but it took her awhile to warm up to it. I was very surprised when one evening last month she came down with one of the ballet costumes hanging in her closet and a pair of my old ballet shoes. My mom made this when I was little.

This one seems to be her favorite since it is pink and the others are blue and green.

She spent quite a bit of time twirling, dancing, and posing for pictures.

Yippee!

My pipe cleaner flowers that I posted about on Friday will be on One Pretty Thing tomorrow for the Kid's Craft Roundup and then on an upcoming Mother's Day Roundup.

I am so excited! Whoo Hoo!

One Pretty Thing is compilation of great ideas from around the web. The best thing is she does the searching for you! Ideas from Martha Stewart, Apartment Therapy, and Blissfully Domestic are often listed. There are some great Easter projects listed today, that I will need to check out too. I especially like the plastic Easter egg wreath, because I have way too many of those.

Blessings

So after my whining about my disasterous dinner and complaining about colds, I feel I should think about all of the things I am thankful for. Things could be much worse and my family has many blessings. I am thankful for:

*Healthy children, really it was a little cold.
*A home
*A job
*My family. I have great parents, in-laws - who take the kids for an entire weekend, a brother, his wife, my nephew and his future sibling.
*My friends
*My husband who is painting our bedroom right now and I'm not. Lovey is helping him and it is a true test of husband's patience. Littlebit who is sleeping and allowing mommy-time.

There are so many more blessings in my life, but after my whining last night I thought maybe I should focus on the blessings and not the roadblocks.
