Be Mine, Valentine!

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! We sure did.

We started off the day with pancakes cut out in heart shapes and orange berry smoothie.

I cut Lovey's sandwich into hearts which he loved. I am glad he is not too old to be embarrassed by it. Littlebit and I shared a hot dog and root beer at Costco since we were running errands. She was sweet and asked to save her root beer so she could share it with Lovey.

For dinner I made angel hair pasta with artichokes and gorgonzola butter sauce, salad, and garlic butter rolls. Yummy!!! We also had cream puffs for dessert.

The kids made hearts for each other and we gave them conversation hearts and Reese's peanut butter cups. Big Daddy gave me a charm for my bracelet and I bought him a Starbucks card. I had bought beer at Costco and jokingly told him that was his present too.

Lovey made me a domino race for Valentine's Day and Littlebit put a puzzle together by herself. Sometimes these kids are too cute and funny.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We started off our Valentine's day with heart pancakes with raspberry syrup and hot chocolate for breakfast. Yum! The kids each got a new toothbrush, a book, and some chocolates for Valentine's Day.

Then we went to Lowe's to pick up some stuff for around the house and ended up staying for the kid projects. Both kids built wooden jewelry boxes. They ran out of badges by the time we completed it, but Lovey had fun. Littlebit had fun at the beginning, but soon grew bored.

For dinner tonight we are having ham and horseradish carrots. Mmmm....
Yesterday we made some Valentine cookies. It is always interesting with a 2 and 4 year old in the kitchen. Lovey wanted to do his own frosting and Littlebit wanted to eat the sprinkles. (I'm sure she licked some sprinkles and then put them on the cookies, so it's a good thing we aren't giving them away.) Recognize the cookie cutters, mom?

These are the Valentine cards that Lovey made for his class. Okay, so I made them, but he did write his name on them. I think we had the only cards without candy attached.
