Happy Birthday Lovey
Seven years ago, our sweet Lovey joined our family. He is smart, funny, energetic, and a delight! Happy Birthday sweet boy!
What Luck!
I have been stalking a certain pair of Ecco ballet flats online for months. I have a red pair of Ecco Boullion ballet flats and I LOVE THEM. I wear them all the time and really want a black pair, but at $119 they just were not in my budget. I was very excited to see a similar pair at Amazon on sale for $54.85, but resisted buying them. (Fixing the cracked steering rack on the car seemed to be more pressing to Big Daddy. Darn.)
But...today I ran into Marshall's just to look around and I found the shoes in black for $34.99! They had 2 pairs and they were both in my size. LOVE! It was meant to be, so I bought them. I mean come on, you can't beat that price.
I left the store thinking what a great day I was having and then because I was too busy being pleased with myself and not paying attention, I stumbled off the curb and rolled my ankle. Oh well, I still have cute shoes!

Ramblings...
All day it has been overcast with a few sun breaks and two hours before Lovey's baseball game, it starts raining. I want the sunshine back from Saturday!
I put off organizing things for Lovey's birthday party until Easter had passed and now I am scrambling to get everything done. I still need to organize things for the games and bake/decorate the cake. Only two people have said they are coming. I haven't heard from the other four. One only let me know because I called them to say we couldn't make it to their party.
I don't have all of his presents yet. Big Daddy is picking up one today and I am hoping that the other one comes tomorrow. Yikes! I hate being last minute. I haven't wrapped any presents yet and need to buy treats for school because they don't allow homemade treats.
I am thinking of banning balls in my house. They are always flying through the air, being kicked across the floor, and left where I trip over them. Lovey is constantly bouncing them against the wall and Littlebit is currently flinging a football all through the house. Something is going to be broken for sure.
My car has been in the shop since Monday. It was leaking power steering fluid. Ugh. It's hard to save for a new car when you keep making repairs to the cars you have.

Don't Eat That Walmart!
"Don't eat that big walmart, Momma! I want it on my pizza!"
Last night, Littlebit kept calling the walnuts on our pizza, walmarts. All I could imagine was a big blue store on my pizza after that.

Baseball
Lovey had his first baseball games this past week. He is having so much fun. Whoever thought it would be a good idea for 7-8 year olds to wear white baseball pants is absolutely crazy! They can't be bleached and they are see through. I don't really want to scrub them after every game. It will make for a very long season. The two teams we have played have had nice grey pants with belts. Lovey needs a belt. I can't quite pull the drawstring enough for him.

Umbrellas
Littlebit decided to use her new hat and a broom to make an umbrella. She sat on the couch for at least 10 minutes holding up her "umbrella". Hopefully we don't need umbrellas for awhile. I could use some sunshine.
A Visitor
A few weeks ago, I looked out the kitchen window to see this little sweetie at our cherry tree. (Look closely at the top of the tree.)
