"Don't eat that big walmart, Momma! I want it on my pizza!"
Last night, Littlebit kept calling the walnuts on our pizza, walmarts. All I could imagine was a big blue store on my pizza after that.

Baseball
Lovey had his first baseball games this past week. He is having so much fun. Whoever thought it would be a good idea for 7-8 year olds to wear white baseball pants is absolutely crazy! They can't be bleached and they are see through. I don't really want to scrub them after every game. It will make for a very long season. The two teams we have played have had nice grey pants with belts. Lovey needs a belt. I can't quite pull the drawstring enough for him.

Umbrellas
Littlebit decided to use her new hat and a broom to make an umbrella. She sat on the couch for at least 10 minutes holding up her "umbrella". Hopefully we don't need umbrellas for awhile. I could use some sunshine.
A Visitor
A few weeks ago, I looked out the kitchen window to see this little sweetie at our cherry tree. (Look closely at the top of the tree.)

Back to the regular world
Spring break is over. Boo. Now it is back to the regularly scheduled programming.
Even though the kids fought constantly - we had a wonderful spring break.
We played musical bedrooms upstairs. Lovey moved into the office, Littlebit moved into Lovey's room and the office/guest room is in Littlebit's old room. Even though the rooms measure the same the new office seems smaller - good luck guests! More pictures to follow in another post. This was an insane idea, but again - another post.
The kids and I went to the children's museum. We listened to a talk on bees and made beeswax candles. They loved it and I loved that we got an awesome FREE parking space!!!
We decorate for Easter. Littlebit complained that we didn't have very many decorations. At least we have more than we do for St. Patrick's Day!
Lovey started one of the science kits he received for Christmas. He loved it. I loved that it had almost everything we needed. We built a barometer and a wind vane. He has been tracking the weather. I don't think our barometer is working very well though.
We ended our spring break with a Mariner's game with Grandpa and Grandma! Unfortunately they lost, but Lovey had a fabulous time. He would read the scoreboard and then watch the field. Too cute! Littlebit was ready to go home by the second inning. Both of them were very excited about there Felix Hernandez bobble head doll.
What a fabulous week of sleeping in and fun activities! Now back to regular life!

Opening Day
Yesterday was the season opener for the Mariners! We decided to celebrate with a ballpark dinner. We had hot dogs, garlic fries, and cracker jacks. (I know it was Friday and we ate hot dogs...)
Poor Big Daddy grilled the hot dogs in the pouring rain! The garlic fries were from Trader Joe's. Mmmm.... They were delicious! The kids thought it was so much fun! We let them stay up to watch the first inning of the game. It didn't start off very well, but the Mariner's won!!!
Lovey asked if we could do this every year on opening day. I think it would be a fun tradition, let's just see if I remember next year!

April Fool's Day
Did you enjoy April Fool's Day? We certainly did!
We started the day by papering the kid's doorways. We have a large roll of paper from the newspaper and cut pieces to fit the doorways of their rooms. It wasn't quite wide enough, but I wasn't going for perfect. Lovey opened his door first and I think the noise of the paper being sucked in startled him, but he just pushed it aside. He laughed when I said April Fools, but he is loves a good joke. Littlebit opened her door and went back to bed crying. I went right in and said April Fools, but she is not a morning person.
My mom got me with a text about her job. My first thought was she would be coming to live with us. I didn't see the text right away, so she sent me a text saying April Fools a little later. I tried to get her back that afternoon by saying that Lovey broke his arm and can't play baseball this spring. (When I told Lovey later, he thought it was funny.) She caught on quickly. It is hard to fool someone when they have fooled you first.
I didn't get Big Daddy this year on my own. I did get him with my mom's text about her job. He was home, so I couldn't move his car like last year.
It seemed as though Mother Nature was playing an April Fools joke on us though. The weather was nice last night, we went to the park and today we had an appointment to replace part of a window. Of course as soon as we removed the window it started to rain. Thankfully the rain came from the north (unusual) and the window was on the south and we didn't get any rain in the house. Today it is sunny again.
