Look at this mess! We filled up a U-haul and spent a lot of money at the dump. We still have one more trip to the Habitat Restore to donate some items.
Big Daddy took last Tuesday off to put all of the casings back up, painted and unpainted. We also did a lot of cleaning and putting things away. Yikes there was a lot to do and I know our friends aren't coming to see our floors or sparkling house, but I still wanted it to look good. Some of the casings are still brown and some are white (even on the same door!), but that's the new look, right?!
The kids were so excited to see their friends, it had been nearly seven months! They did a lot of playing together and staying up late. They played outside a lot and it seemed the bathtub always had dirty kids or feet in it at the end of the night. The five kids have always been together and it was fun to hear them giggling and laughing together again. (Lovey kissed the oldest girl the last night they were here. We wouldn't have known it happened, but her response was, "Ew, gross!") It was a wonderful visit and we were very sad to see them drive away on Sunday. They are definitely more like family than just friends. Hopefully we will go visit them next summer. (I hope to be out there this fall to see the new addition to their family!)
Crazy dancing before more friends came to our BBQ.
Kid feet! Only four of the kids wanted to get their picture taken. The youngest was too tired for any of that!
