Need a Creative Outlet

I have had a series of sewing goofs lately. First I tried to refashion a t-shirt into a dress for Littlebit. This was soon thrown away. It could have been cute, but I cut it a little small and just couldn't get the neck right. Then I tried this for Littlebit's birthday shirt. Yeah, that didn't go very well either. So I made a crown to put on a shirt, but one corner is all puckery and I don't like it, but with three days left, it will have to do. Today I tried to make a ruffly scarf from a t-shirt as seen here. Just wasn't working right either.

I feel like all of my creativity has been sapped from me and I am just full of disasters. I need a creative outlet that I feel successful in. Five years ago I wanted to start doing photography, well guess who has the fancy camera in this house. Not me. I started taking cake decorating classes, but stopped because I didn't want Littlebit to be born in the middle of the last class. I didn't start again because Big Daddy needed to study. That was three years ago. Big Daddy wants to do STP, so do I, but a three speed bike just doesn't cut it and someone has to stay home with the kids during the long training sessions.

Maybe its that lately my sewing endeavors have ended up in the trash can, or its because my birthday is approaching, or because its winter but blah. I've got to find something to do. For now I'll go read my Jen Lancaster book and eat some bacon wrapped crackers.
