15 days until Christmas!

Time just keeps flying by. I know that it was just Thanksgiving yesterday and we were enjoying snow and turkey at my mom's house. Right?!? The days just seem to keep flying off of the calendar like in those cartoons when they want to show time passing quickly. That's what I feel like.


We have been busy in our house. Our elf, Oswald, is back to visit. He hasn't done anything crazy yet. We finished decorating all of our trees this morning, except for the ornaments we made on Monday. We went to Painted Plate like last year and everyone made their own ornament. Lots of fun! We can pick up those ornaments on Saturday night.


The weather has been so crazy. Last week it was freezing! Today when I went to work it was 64. Really? It is December. When I came home it had dropped to 55. The wind is crazy too. I just moved what was left of my outside decorations into the garage because it is supposed to be windier tomorrow. While at my mom's, we had collected cedar branches. I had enough to make three swags with some left over. I placed some of the branches in the planters out front and put ornaments in them. I also had enough to put in a wooden sled that Lovey made a few years ago and put that in my planter bed. Our landscaping crew was so thoughtful in cleaning up, they completely emptied my sled today! Yikes! At least they left the branches in the planters alone even though they keep flying away. After chasing the ornaments down the street in my pajamas tonight, I have moved them into the garage!


Here's hoping we don't fly away like the pages of the calendar!
