A Very Merry Christmas!

The aftermath of Christmas is upon us and what a fabulous Christmas it was. This year we had 3 trees up! One tree was full of glass ornaments or very special ornaments. The tree in the family room was decked out in Disney ornaments. We also had a 4 foot tree in the hall upstairs. We let the kids decorate it. It is the only tree with colored lights and they added their new ornaments and other special trinkets to it. Paper snowflakes and bits of yarn anyone?!

The kids woke up early which allowed us to have a relaxing morning. We checked out what Santa brought everyone. A remote control helicopter for Lovey and a microphone for Littlebit.

Then we opened our family presents. Littlebit was thrilled to get an American Girl doll. She named her Cindy and brushes her hair constantly. She also scored on the Lego Friends and has been building them herself! I was surprised that Lovey didn't ask to open his DS games until later in the afternoon. He was content to check out his books, legos, and robots.

My mom and Scott soon arrived as did my in-laws! We snacked on Bacon Wrapped Crackers, cookies, veggies, and cheese and crackers while drinking cranberry mimosas and hot apple cider. Yum! Then it was time to open more presents! The kids were thrilled to open beanbag chairs, crafty things and books!
Big Daddy made this box for me. Love it! Can't wait to decorate it for other seasons!
We feasted on ham, twice baked potatoes, horseradish carrots, jello salad, and cranberries! Dessert was delicious! Irish Cream Cheesecake! So rich and so wonderful!

Love this little ornaments. He plugs into one of the tree lights and then bubbles, but we can't plug him in to the new LED lights, so we haven't been able to use him. Our artificial tree didn't have LED lights so this year we were able to enjoy the little cutie!

We ended the wonderful night trying to teach Lovey and Scott pinochle. What an adventure and so much fun! So sad to see everyone leave last night and this morning!

Today we lounged around building legos, playing games, and eating leftovers.
Big Daddy was thrilled to have his cycling magazine subscription renewed!

Merry Christmas!

I thought I would write more posts since I am on Christmas break, but I have been baking, wrapping presents and enjoying my kids. We have watched Christmas movies, played old maid, and shopped! Everything is now wrapped and under the tree. We are all in our new Christmas jammies and ready for Christmas morning and visits from family.

Merry Christmas!
