All Clear
After another set of x-rays, Lovey got the all clear to play baseball. He is thrilled! Just in time for tonight's game. He still needs to wear the splint during the day for a few weeks, but he can have it off in the evening. The doctor said he could play as long as there it doesn't hurt. He did have to change his hold on the ball when he tried throwing it last night. Lovey couldn't wait for this news. Last weekend he was out playing football with his friends - I don't know how his finger healed, but I am thankful it did so quickly!

Weekend Excitement
What a weekend! Lovey came home from school on Thursday with a swollen and bruised pinky finger. He hurt it playing kickball at recess. We took him to the walk-in clinic for x-rays. After a VERY long wait, they told us that he had a sprain. They put a splint on his finger and sent him home. The poor kid was so hungry after being there for 2 hours! On Friday, they called us back to say that he had fractured his finger and we should see our doctor as soon as possible. Big Daddy took Lovey to the doctor on Monday. She kept his finger in the splint and said he needed more x-rays in a week. This means no baseball and puts in a kink in his piano lessons. Poor kid only played in one game and had 2 piano lessons. His piano teacher did modify some of the lessons for him today. He has certainly had a rough start to the school year. He was finally feeling more comfortable with his palate expander and now this!
Littlebit decided that this weekend she wanted to learn how to ride on 2 wheels. Well I asked her if she wanted to try, but she said I couldn't help her, only Daddy. Big Daddy came out to help her, but she needed very little help. She started riding yesterday and by today, she didn't need him to run next to her! She still needs to work on stopping more slowly and to turn, but wow!!! No more training wheels at our house.
He wouldn't hold for me to take a picture. |
