County Fair

Yesterday I took the kids to the county fair. They each had a pass for free admission and one free ride. It was also dollar day, so my admission was $1, all rides were $1 and some of the food was $1. Woo hoo!!! After spending 3 weekends in hotels this summer for baseball, we are all about free and cheap!

We started off looking at the animals. Littlebit wanted to pet a horse, so we did that. We also found Lovey's school's fabric dragon from the spring fun fair. Then it was time to eat. We enjoyed dollar corn dogs and curly fries.

The kids were anxious to get to the rides and I told them that I would buy each of them 3 more rides. Littlebit picked out her ride first - an airplane ride. Lovey was too old and too cool to go on that one. Poor kiddo was just a little too short to go on the rides he wanted to go on. He did go on the ferris wheel BY HIMSELF. Aaacccckkkk! That caused me some anxiety. While he was on the ferris wheel, we ran into Lovey's teacher. She gave us an extra ticket because she was leaving. That left me with an odd ticket. Well, Littlebit really wanted to go on the Tilt-A-Whirl. Lovey was a little apprehensive, so I went with them. Of course we got the one that spun really fast. I was a little dizzy when it ended!

It was a really fun morning and the kids had a great time!
